Terms of Service
1. Scope. These terms govern the use of this website and the booking of chauffeur-driven passenger transport services provided in Barcelona and Catalonia with licensed VTC vehicles under Law 16/1987 on Land Transport (LOTT), Royal Decree 1211/1990 (ROTT) and the applicable Catalan VTC regulations. By requesting a booking you accept these terms.
2. Provider Information (Art. 10 LSSI-CE)
This website is operated by the Company, a licensed VTC transport operator established in Barcelona, Spain. Contact: info@cataluxtransfer.com · +34 610896515. Full registered name, NIF, registered address and VTC licence number are supplied on request and on each invoice.
3. Bookings and Prices
Bookings requested through the website, WhatsApp, email or telephone constitute a request; the contract is formed only when we confirm the booking. Prices shown on the site are indicative estimates in euros and include VAT/IVA at the applicable rate for passenger transport unless stated otherwise. Final prices may vary with route changes, additional stops, waiting time beyond the included allowance, tolls, night or holiday surcharges, and special requests. Any variation is communicated before it applies wherever reasonably possible.
4. Cancellations and Right of Withdrawal
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up are free of charge. Later cancellations or no-shows may be charged up to the full price of the service, reflecting costs already incurred.
Under Art. 103.l) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to passenger transport services contracted for a specific date or period. The cancellation terms above apply instead. Consumers are informed of this before confirming a booking.
5. Service Conditions
Passengers must comply with Spanish road traffic rules, including seat-belt use and the use of appropriate child restraint systems (which must be requested in advance). Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles. The chauffeur may refuse or terminate a service in cases of unsafe, aggressive or illegal behaviour, or where the number of passengers or volume of luggage exceeds the vehicle's authorised capacity. Damage caused to the vehicle by passengers, including excessive soiling, may be invoiced at cost.
Vehicle models shown on the site are indicative; we may provide an equivalent or superior vehicle of the same class.
6. Liability and Insurance
All vehicles carry the compulsory passenger and civil liability insurance required by Spanish law. We are liable for damages directly attributable to us in accordance with applicable law. We are not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, strikes, road closures or force majeure. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for wilful misconduct, or any consumer rights that cannot be waived under Spanish law.
7. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Complaints can be sent to info@cataluxtransfer.com and official complaint forms (hojas de reclamación) are available in accordance with Catalan consumer regulations. Consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, or address the Catalan Consumer Agency (Agència Catalana del Consum).
8. Intellectual Property and Applicable Law
All content on this website — texts, images, logos and design — is protected by intellectual property rights and may not be reproduced without written authorisation. These terms are governed by Spanish law; disputes are subject to the courts of Barcelona, except where consumer legislation grants the consumer the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their own domicile.
We may update these terms and the Privacy Policy to reflect legal or operational changes; the version in force is the one published on this page.
